Recommendations:
Work with monolingual dictionaries to study abbreviations, definitions and examples, use the dictionary to find out about pronunciation, to find grammatical information, some extra information about words, word combinations and phrases, try to use different ways of recording vocabulary, different ways of remembering vocabulary and extending it by yourself. Remember: Teachers are always ready to respond to learners’ individual language needs.
Task I.
a) Translate words from Essential Vocabulary (II) and word combinational at p. 141 -142 in the book by Arakin V.D. Compare Essential Vocabulary with the first year vocabulary on the same topic.
b) Study the meanings and use of these words given at p. 142-143. Learn everything by heart.
c) Make up 15 sentences of your own with these words and phrases.
d) Do Ex 5 p. 145 (V.D. Arakin)
Task II
a) Read and translate Text “A” at p. 137. Put all types of questions to the text for the students to answer at the lesson.
b) Do Ex 1 (a, b, c) p. 144.
Task III.
a) Study Texts “B” and “C” and do Ex 3 p. 144.
b) Give a summary of Text “B” in reported speech.
c) Learn Text “C” by heart and recite it in pairs at the lesson.
Make up dialogues according to situations “A”, “B” p. 149. “C”, “D”, “E” at p. 150.
