domestic literature on the need for digitalization and state support
of the agricultural sector is conducted. The role and contribution of
agriculture in the structure of GDP is shown. The article analyzes
the production of agricultural products in the republic over the past 5
years. The emphasis is placed on the production of food products in all
regions of Kazakhstan. It was revealed that the increase in agricultural
production in 2020 in the context of the pandemic was primarily due
to the growth of crop production. The measures of state support for
agriculture within the framework of the functioning of the coronavirus
pandemic in the world and Kazakhstan are justifi ed. The main state
programs for the development of the agro-industrial complex over the
past 30 years during the country’s independence have been identifi ed. It
was noted that in 2020, the Government allocated additional subsidies
to support agricultural producers. The problems were revealed and
certain proposals were made to improve state measures to stimulate the
production of competitive agricultural products in the republic.
