When I work at the middle and senior levels, I show excerpts from world cinema films such as “The Sound of Music”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “The First Knight”, “Troy”, “Hamlet”, “Beethoven”, “Mary Poppins "," My Fair Lady "(lesson plans for these films, we created together with colleagues). After several views, senior and middle school students themselves suggested making their own mini-movies and videos. This proposal on their part gave impetus to the preparation and conduct of a series of extra-curricular activities called “Film Festival of Short Films” and, at the moment, in the video library of the Lyceum there are about two dozen films created according to the scripts of students in which they themselves play roles. When creating a film, students take full initiative, they get the impression that the teacher becomes an outside observer, and they get great pleasure from independent work.
