Course description:The main direction of research and parasitology. The basis of classification of zoology. The role of parasites in the biosphere.The main directions of research of parasitology. Basics of zoological classification. The role of parasites in the biosphere. Poisonous substances and their effect on living organisms (animals, plants, etc.). It explores the nature of a substance, its various properties, the sensitivity of animals to toxic substances, various modifications of poisoning in the body, the causes and effects of poisoning, the ingestion and removal of toxins, the main clinical symptoms and pathological changes in case of poisoning.
Course aim:Full details of the veterinary and medical parasites, including pathological and other diseases. A study of the prevention and treatment, as well as the care and treatment that should be present in case of poisoning.
Prerequisites:School biology course. Zoology of invertebrates.

Expected learning outcomes of the subject (LOS): - new knowledge of parasitism as a universal natural phenomenon.
- Knowledge of practical methods of parasitological studies, methods of storing helminthological material, organization of collections, hygienic skills of working with invasive materials, knowledge of the development cycle of trunks, a thorough examination of their health. Students are aware of the origin of parasites, of how organisms adapt to the basic taxonomy of their animal world.
