Grain and milled rice quality, cooking properties. 1000 grain weight at standard
moisture content is 32–33 grams. Hull percentage is 17–18 %, grain translucency:
85–90 %, husk-coated grains ratio (l/b): 2.2–2.3. Total milled rice: 69–70 %; head
rice: 92–95 %. Protein content in grain is 7.0–8.0 %, amylose content: 19.0–20.0 %.
The variety is recommended for cooking pilaf, side dishes and dishes of Italian
cuisine.
Yield capacity. Potential yield capacity is 9–10 tons per hectare.
Individual characteristics. Seedlings grow slowly in the early stages of devel-
opment, so if it is grown with use of non-herbicidal growth technologies it is recom-
mended to remove water at one leaf stage for obtaining seedlings. The variety can be
harvested with the use of straight-cutting method.
