Grain and milled rice quality, cooking properties. Large grain variety, 1000
grain weight — 38 g. Filminess — 17.4 %, grain hardness — 88 %, length-to-beam
ratio (
l/b ) 2.6. Milling yield — 72.4 — 72.5 %; head rice content — 93.8–97.7 %; bro-
ken rice content — 2.3–6.2 %, fracturing — 11 %. Amylose content — 20.8 %, which
provides high cooking quality.
Tolerance to environmental stress fac-tors. Variety is resistant to blast.: for
the years of trials it has shown resistance higher than that of standard check variety
Rapan (disease intensity — from12.2 to 23.3 %).
Yield. Potential yield — 10–12 t/ha. The variety provides a high yield under dif-
ferent agricultural practices, is stable, does not require high doses of fertilizers, but
responsive to their introduction.
