virtual laboratories for subject-based learning, Internet publishing environments, website editors.
Educational institutions create their own electronic educational environment where students
communicate, assign homework, publish the results of administrative tasks and creative works in
electronic diaries and electronic journals.
Language textbooks have interactive whiteboards, projectors and computers for teachers.
Many modern teaching materials include assignments from the Internet, teacher materials in
electronic form and CD-ROMs containing links to educational resources on the Internet.
According to ST (state standard), the information supporting the educational process
enables educational activities [6]:
- Individualisation of educational planning and independent learning activities of pupils;
- Access to information resources on the Internet
- Communication on the Internet;
- Text editing with word processor tools, transfer to digital media, printing, recording, audio
processing;
- Broadcasting (podcasting), group messaging (wikis);
- Student participation in research activities, use of virtual collections and laboratories.
As for teachers themselves, many of them recognise the need to improve their teaching, new
approaches and teaching technologies are being developed. Researchers believe that the Internet
will soon take a firm place among other educational tools.
Currently, a significant contribution has been made to the research on the integration of
Internet technologies in foreign language teaching in Kazakhstan. Modern pedagogical methods
used today are impossible without new information technologies.
New information technologies1include not only new technical means, but also new forms
of teaching, new teaching methods, new approaches to the learning process. Information
technologies offer a wide choice of information content, means and methods of its acquisition and
processing, which allows for an individualised approach to education, taking into account students'
abilities, level of training and interests.
The potential of online resources and technologies in English language teaching is enormous
and, if used wisely, they can undoubtedly help to optimise the learning process. This is due to a
number of factors. English is a global language and one of the main languages of communication,
both online and in the writing of most computer programmes.
The Internet is a worldwide network used both by individuals and by users from different
institutions and organisations. With 3.2 billion Internet users worldwide, virtually all kinds of
online resources and technologies are available for teaching English.
Global networks allow students and teachers to access all the information they need,
including country-specific teaching materials, news, journal articles, literature and information on
project activities. They can also participate in online tests, quizzes, contests and Olympiads,
connect with peers in other countries, and participate in forums and video conferences.
The available Internet technologies make it possible to present information not only in text
format, but also in hypertext, audio and video formats. The topics and activities are varied and
colourful and motivate students. Multimedia allows individualisation of learning according to each
student's interests and abilities, and students can easily complete multimedia projects. Dostovalova
states that multimedia creates psychological conditions that help students learn and memorise
material by working on their subconscious [7]. For example, the summary of tasks and
instructions, as well as their success and success can be accompanied by sounds and images in any
lesson, creating a structure for a certain type of work.
The global popularity of the English language and the active involvement of teachers in the
process of its research on the global Internet has led to the creation of a database of educational
resources available to teachers of wonderful materials for teaching foreign languages. Teachers
