The growth of the country’s population is accompanied by an
intensive increase in food consumption and a change in the structure of
consumption towards higher-quality products.
Kazakhstan has quite large opportunities in agriculture. The reason
for this was the global demographic growth and rapid urbanization of
the population.
According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, the
gross output of Agricultural Products for 2016-2019 in the structure of
GDP varied in the range of 4.6-4.3% (Table 1). In 2020, the share of
agriculture in GDP exceeded 5.4 percent.
