Tolerance to environmental stress factors. Variety is highly resistant to blast
and medium resistant to rice leaf nematode. Resistant to lodging and shattering.
Yield. Yield of variety Vita — 6.0–7.0 t/ha.
Individual features. A distinctive feature is the very high germination energy
and field germination. Plants, despite the shortness well pull through the water layer
while sprouting. The combination of this feature with the disease resistance allows to
cultivate Vita using energy-saving technologies.
Russian GOST does not allow the presence of glutinous rice varieties in harvested
grain mass, so Vita must be placed at the designated sites. Grain processing is nec-
essary to carry on designated lines to avoid mixing with other varieties.
Variety doesn’t shatter ever during overmature standing but is easily threshed.
Harvesting is recommended by both separate and direct harvesting.
