Cultivation area
. In 2013 the variety entered the State register of breeding
achievements eligible for use in the North Caucasus region.
Breeding method.
The variety was bred with the use of single plant selection
from the hybrid combination Lider/Pervotsvet. It belongs to the mid-ripening group.
Growing season lasts 117–118 days.
Botanical and morphological characteristics.
Botanical variety:
var. italic
Alef.,awnless. Glumes are straw-colored. Shrub is dense,stalk is short and firm. Plant
height is 80–85 cm. Panicle is erect, 13–16 cm long, dense (the number of spikelets
per 1 cm is 9–12). The number of spikelets per panicle is 140–170. Panicle sterility
is about 10–15 %.
