6.2 LEISURE TIME Read and learn the following words:
Task I. Read and translate the text: Leisure time Everybody sometimes has much free time. Somebody prefer only to sleep in their leisure time, but the largest part of us prefer to do a great amount of things which are pleasant and interesting for us. It may be reading, a various types of sport game, watching TV, listening music and others. If we have a few days or a week we prefer to go to the attractive places. Many peoples think that pupils and students have too much leisure ,but in my opinion, they are wrong. We are very busy. Many pupils have six or seven lessons a day and go to school five or six day a week. Even during the holiday we learn our lessons after school. And we have just no time to go somewhere. The oldest of us are working after school or institutes. I am not spending my time at school and after I have a free time. The large part of my free time devotes to reading. I like to read books about another country, another times and another worlds. Also I read books about history of our country. Besides reading I like to do physical exercises. I and my school friends often gather after school and play basketball, football or other active games. But my favorite hobby is traveling. Usually I travel in summer and after the trip to the south, to the warm sightseeings. All people must have other occupation besides their basic work, because it extend the boundaries of the familiar world and teach us something new about people and thing. I think that the most exciting leisure time spending can be all activities like sport or traveling somewhere with friends because I never feel bored with my friends. For example every holiday I go somewhere with my best friend from Moscow. And we always have a good time wherever we go. And I think that everyone can find an occupation. Maybe in some countries people have more opportunities for recreation because of the new inventions or another factor. But I think that each man can travel everywhere and try each way of spending free time. Moreover the city where we live gives us a lot of places to go. And from day to day the number of places of interest grows. But the only thing that is necessary for citizens is fresh air and little areas of nature. People need to walk in the parks that become more and more rare. In spite of this people always can find a way to spend leisure time.
