I stage.
Pupils learn to read individual words first, organized
by the reading rule represented by the highlighted letter, sound and
keyword. The keyword contains a graphic image and a picture.
Learners superimpose a sound image on a graphic one and read the
word first to themselves and then aloud. In this case, it is important
not to deprive them of their independence.
After the keyword, other words and their recording are given,
which is designed to ensure listening to exemplary reading and
reading after the speaker (it is important that learners do not imitate,
but read). Reading after the speaker will contribute to the fixation of
graphic images in the memory due to the active joint work of the
auditory, speech-motor and visual analyzers. Then the learners read
the next exercise on their own.
It is important to work out the pace of reading (it is
recommended to use flash-cards with words written on them,
gradually reducing the time for card exposure). It is useful to hold a
competition for reading and correct reading of the words from the
exercise presented in the textbook. You can use a split alphabet (the
teacher makes words, then changes the letters, learnersread: pen –
ten, pen – pan, fi ve – nine, etc.). It is necessary to check the
formation of the skill based on the rule. For this, a small number of
unfamiliar words should be included in the exercises (at the same
time, learnersread on their own, the teacher only corrects).
II stage.
Learnersbegin to read phrases and sentences and their

correct design. Here is the sequence of work of students:
1. Carefully peer into the sentence, read it to themselves, try to
understand. The purpose of the actions performed is to prepare for
perception.
2. Listen, follow exemplary reading, understand phrases and
sentences.
3. Repeat after the speaker in chorus, then individual reading
takes place.
When learning to read sentences, it is important to
demonstrate exemplary reading, as intonation is learned imitatively.
