At the age of 6 Stevenson was sent to academy, but because of a heavy form of tuberculosis he could not attend it. Private teachers were engaged to educate him.

  • Robert Lewis Stevenson died at the age of 44 years not from the illness of lungs which tormented him all his life but from a hemorrhage in brain.
