Abstract.
The article reviews major research trends in the animal en-
hancement field and terminology associated with them. The role of animal
enhancement in relation to human enhancement is analyzed as well. The
most significant developments of the biotechnological change of animals
and implications resulting from them in terms of biotechnological en-
hancement in general and animal ethics in particular.
