Exercise 6. Divide the following words or phrases into four groups, those which
describe or belong to a) passenger vehicles; b) vehicles for the carriage of
goods; c) non-road mobile machinery; d) off-road vehicles.

Exercise 7. Think over the definitions of the words which appear in the texts and
dialogues and then:
a) agree or disagree with the following definitions

Bulky
is too big to be carried or stored easily.

Bulldozer
is a heavy vehicle with a large curved open container at the
front used
for moving earth and stones, destroying buildings, etc.
3.
Coach
is a long comfortable vehicle for carrying a large number of pas-
sengers, especially on long journeys.
4.
Omnibus
is an old word meaning a ‘bus’.
5.
Trailer
is a long container that can be fixed to a vehicle and used for
moving heavy objects or large animals.
