Exercise 1. Learn the new words.
Introduce the new words: milk, bread, cheese,
chocolate, corn flakes, an egg, butter. Show the
flashcards. Ask the children to carry out the
corresponding actions: to eat/to drink. E.g.: to drink
milk, to eat bread, toe at cheese, to eat chocolate, to eat
corn flakes, to eat butter, to eat eggs.
For further practice ask the students some questions.
E.g.:
Do you like milk/ bread/chocolate, etc.?
Exercise 2. Look and say what you see.
Ask the learners to look at the pictures and say what
they see.
Students’ answers.
Keys: 1. Milk, bread, butter.

hands, making fists).

Exercise 3.Look at the pictures, learn and listen.
Tell the students to look at the pictures, follow the
words. Then listen to the audio and repeat after the
speaker. Pause after each picture. Let the children
repeat. Explain the new expressions. “Excuse me” is
used when you interrupt someone or you want to attract
someone’s attention. “Can I have…?” when we ask to
get something.

Shop assistant: Here you are.
Dana: Excuse me, can I have some butter and cheese,
please?
Shop assistant: Here you

Exercise 4. Roleplay the following dialogue.
Tell the students to roleplay the dialogues using the
given model.
Students’ answers:
S 1: Excuse me, can I have some milk, please?
S 2: Here you are.
Words: eggs, cornflakes, cheese, milk, bread, butter,
chocolate.
Activity book
Exercise 1. Listen to your teacher and draw in the box.
Ask the students to listen and draw the food.
Teacher says:
It’s butter. It’s bread. It’s milk. It’s cheese. It’s an egg.
It’s chocolate.
Exercise 2.
Which food comes from this? Put the correct
number in the box.
Explain the task to the students. They should decide
and match the pictures.
