The scientific novelty of the work is that an attempt is made to identify the original narrative strategies Сh.Bronte used in the novel "Jane Eyre", and also the comparative analysis for narrative features of the original text of the novel and its Russian-language translations of the twentieth century are made for the first time.
To characterize the narrative strategy of Ch.Bronte in the novel "Jane Eyre" we distinguish three aspects: the structure of the narrative, autobiographical elements, the role of the description of nature and weather phenomena in the novel. Using the terminology of V.Schmid, we designate the type of narrative in the novel "Jane Eyre" as "explicit". It is based on the narrator's self-presentation. Shecan " describe herself as the narrating self, tell the story of her life, state the way she thinks…»In the novel, the heroine leads the story in the first person, but there is no direct indication of this type of narrative in the text of the work, however, to determine the narrative as explicit, it is not necessary to have such a direct indication and self-presentation of the narrator. V.Schmid in this context admits that sometimes only the use of the verb form for the first person, personal pronouns, etc. indicates that the reader faces an explicit narrator. Throughout the work, the narrative is conducted on behalf of the main character, respectively, there are forms of the first person in the direct speech of Jane:
