көрсеткендей, бұл бағыттағы зерттеулердің көпшілігі коммуникация дағдыларын 
дамытуға бағытталған. Дегенмен, Қазақстанда ағылшын тілінде коммуникация 
дағдыларын дамыту үшін зерттеу әдістемесін тікелей қолданатын зерттеулер 
жетіспейді. Бұл қабілет оқушылардың оқуына ғана емес, олардың болашақ жұмысы мен 
өміріне де пайдалы. Мақалада жоғары сынып оқушыларының коммуникативті 
дағдыларын жақсарту үшін ағылшын тілін оқытуда зерттеу тұрғысында оқыту 
әдістемесін қалай қолдануға болатыны туралы ұсыныстар мен мысалдар келтірілген. 
The article discusses the application of inquiry-based learning in teaching English to school 
students in Kazakhstan. The authors emphasize the importance of developing students' language 
skills, particularly communication, and present various inquiry-based learning approaches that aim 
to enhance these skills. Examples of successful projects implemented in Kazakhstani schools are 
provided, and the benefits of using inquiry-based methodology in English language teaching are 
highlighted. The article concludes with a call for further research and development of inquiry-
based learning approaches to promote effective English language learning among school students 
in Kazakhstan. 
Inquiry-based learning is a teaching approach that focuses on student-generated questions, 
ideas, and observations, and uses these as an anchor for learning. Most teachers are familiar with 
inquiry-based learning; many of them have implemented it in their own classrooms. However, it 
can be difficult to find high-quality inquiry learning examples to implement with students. 
The teaching of English in Kazakhstan has gained immense importance in recent years, 
owing to the country's growing economy and international relations. However, the traditional 
methods of teaching English have proven to be ineffective in achieving the desired results in 
language proficiency. Inquiry-based learning has emerged as a popular approach to teaching 
English, providing students with the opportunity to learn the language through active learning, 
collaboration, and real-life problem-solving tasks. 
This study aims to investigate the ways of application of inquiry-based learning in teaching 
English to senior school students in Kazakhstan. The paper will investigate the benefits and 
challenges of inquiry-based learning, its effectiveness in enhancing students' language proficiency 
and critical thinking skills, and the ways to overcome the challenges. 
The application of inquiry-based learning in the subject of English is a teaching process 
whose main objective is the acquisition of basic skills and the development of essential skills to 
put into practice in real life. 
Inquiry-based learning is primarily a pedagogical method, developed during the discovery 
learning movement of the 1960s as a response to traditional forms of instruction—where people 
were required to memorize information from instructional materials, such as direct instruction and 
rote learning.
