MAIN REASONS FOR VACCINATION REFUSALS

Abstract
Significance.
Despite the risk of infectious diseases in children, a significant
proportion of parents either doubts usefulness or completely refuses to vaccinate their
children. Therefore, to control outbreaks of childhood infections, it is necessary to
identify main reasons for parental refusals to vaccinate.
Purpose.
To analyze main reasons for parental refusals from vaccination and
doubts about its usefulness in children of the first year of life.
Material and Methods.
On the basis of seven children's polyclinics in St.
Petersburg, an anonymous survey of 1724 mothers with
children up to one year of
life born in 2016-2017 was conducted. Mathematical data processing was carried out
using “MS Office Excel 2010” spreadsheets and PASW STATISTICS statistical
software package.
