Discussion Creating digital stories is a serious educational load with a significant amount of knowledge
gained, since in the process of creating a creative product, students must carefully study the topic,
carefully think over the materials, and share the knowledge gained in competent English.
As a result, the use of digital conversation in teaching English will undoubtedly open up new
opportunities for both students and teachers.
Students improve their professional skills in language acquisition by independently
searching with the help of digital conversation using various sources of information, resources.
Modern digital educational resources can be used not only to teach various aspects of the
English language, but also to conduct all types of speech activity, independent work under the
direct supervision of a teacher. In addition, digital technologies improve the quality of teaching
and the level of language proficiency when learning English.
Using such innovative technologies, my students win prizes in many English-language
competitions.
Digital storytelling technology includes a variety of tools and helps students develop a
comprehensive understanding of the modern world. This technique can be presented in various
formats: presentation, video clip, electronic publication with digital content, infographics, etc. in
the form Students can be asked to create a small video project, discussing the algorithm for its
implementation, which has a positive effect on the development of regulatory skills, such as goal
setting, planning, control, correction, evaluation. To create a story or plot, online services are used
that offer many excellent templates with animated characters, built-in animation and the necessary
tools (SparkolPro, PowToon, Moovly, GoAnimate, Plotagon, etc.). Augmented reality
applications such as Quiver are an effective tool for practicing language material. In physical
reality, students color prepared drawings. The resulting images are then “animated” using the
application, processing the necessary lexical or grammatical material. A strong incentive to
participate in this work is the novelty of applied applications, which means the active participation
of students in the learning process, their interest in using new ways to search for information about
which they lack knowledge, in realizing their creative abilities, finding the use of language
knowledge and skills in augmented reality.
However, digital storytelling technology is an effective didactic tool that contributes to the
formation of communicative competence in a foreign language and the development of digital
skills. Students learn the language by learning to discover and actively use the relationship between
electronic resources and English teaching, working in physical reality and digital environments.
