achievements eligible for use in the North Caucasus region.
Breeding method. The variety was bred with theuse ofsingleplant selection from
hybrid population VNIIR 8847/Belozerny.
The variety belongs to the mid-ripening group. Growing season is 115–117 days.

Glumesareawnless, straw-coloured. Plantheight: 85–95 cm. Shrub is dense, plants
are erect. Stalk is solid that provides high tolerance to lodging. Panicle is of medium
length: 16–17 cm, head density: 10–12 spikelets per 1 cm. Panicle is dense, erect,
slightly drooping at the firm ripe stage.
Grain and milled rice quality, cooking properties. 1000 grainweight at stan-
dard moisture content is 28–29 grams. Hull percentage: 17–19 %; grain translucency:
92–98 %; husk-covered grain ratio (
l/b ): 2.2–2.3. Total milled rice: 69–71 %; head
