Lesson objectives
All learners will be able to: 
Listen to the passage and match the speaker to the genre of film
Listen to the passage and complete the gaps with the correct speaker; 
Read the text “Motion pictures” and answer the questions on it; 
Write a passage on their favourite film. 
Most learners will be able to: 
Do the listening exercises with minor mistakes; 
Read the text “Motion pictures” and answer at least 70% of all the questions correctly
Write a passage on their favourite film answering at least four questions given in the task 2 and using at
least two basic linking words. 
Some learners will be able to:
Read the text “Motion pictures” and answer at least 80% of all the questions correctly; 
Write a passage on their favourite film answering all the questions given in the task 2; 
Write a passage on their favourite film with no more than two mistakes in grammar and spelling.

Warm-up
Labelling 
(W) Learners label the photos of different films with their genres. While working
together, learners collaborate and help each other for getting better results.
Then teacher together with the learners check the task. Learners check
themselves. 
Learners together with the teacher come to the lesson theme and objectives.

Listening Task 1 (I) Teacher suggests listening activity to the learners. Learners
listen to the passage “My favourite film”. They get a sheet with the tasks.
Teacher gives them some time to look through the tasks and search the words
that they do not know. Before listening teacher discusses the assessmentcriteria
together with the learners: Recognise particular information and detailswhile
listening 11 questions out of 14 should be done correctly (85 %) Thenthey
listen for the first time and match the speaker to the genre of film. Theylisten

Teacher shows the right answers on the board. Learners exchange their
worksheets with a partner and check each other’s work.Teacher together with
the learners discuss the right choice in listening tasks and gives
recommendations for better achievements.

Reflection Learners fill in the reflection cards which contain the following
questions:
1) The summative assessment for the unit “Entertainment and media” was:

Teacher explains that she/he will discuss learners’ summative works with each
