The variety was bred with the reselection method from the
line selected from hybrid combination VNIIR 6427////Balilla granоgrosso//VIR 2157/
Dubovsky 129///Krasnodarsky 424.
The variety belongs tothe mid-ripening group. Growing season lasts 116–120 days.
Botanical and morphological characteristics.

Glumes are straw-colored, awnless. Plant height is 90–95 cm. Panicle is dense, slightly
drooping, 14–17 cm long, containing 95–110 spikelets. Panicle sterility is 9–11 %.
Grain and milled rice qualityбcooking properties.
Grain is medium-sized,
oblong. Caryopsis length to breadth ratio (
l/b
): 2.5. 1000 grain weight: 32–34 g. Husk
percentage: 17–19 %. Milled rice is white, translucency: 98–100 %; total milled rice:
68–69 % with about 90 % of head rice. The variety is recommended for canning and
cooking soups.
