Cultivation area. In 2010 the variety entered the State register of breeding
achievements eligible for use in the North Caucasus region.
Breeding method. The variety was bred with the use of single plant selection
from F2 complex hybrid population Kurchanka / VNIIR 554–90 // Leader / Talisman.
The variety belongs to the mid-ripening group. Growing season lasts 115 days, but
sometimes may vary from 110 to 118 days.
Botanical and morphological characteristics. Botanical variety:

Plantheight is 85–90 cm. Leaves are short, broad, slightly hirsute, medium green,

oblique from the stalk at the angle of 30–35°. Panicle length is 16–17 cm. The number
of spikelets per one panicle: 155–160, spikelet sterility is low: 5–7 %. Panicle is dense,
erect, slightly drooping while ripening.
