It should be noted that the functional load indicator gives satisfactory results
only for closed structural schemes. In the open structural diagrams, it is zero
for the last structural element of the chain or for the structural block that does
not have a connection with the subsequent element.
We define the functional load index for various
types of mechatronic
modules. For the motion module (see Figure 3.5):

As can be seen from the above example, a structural element having no
connection with the subsequent structural element has an exponent of a
functional load equal to zero. Consequently, the calculated
indicators of the
functional load are not accurate. For the mechatronic modulus of motion (see

The greatest functional load is carried by a computer control device and a
power converter.
Thus, the examples considered show that it is impossible to use this method
of calculating the functional load index for structural models of mechatronic
modules that have elements that do not have a connection with subsequent ele-
ments.
