Methods and methodological basis of the research. A methodological basis of research the central positions have made cognitive linguistics and other sciences anthropological paradigms, and also the theory of "a language picture of the world". In work methods of the description, ordering, comparison, classification, the comparative-historical and ethnolinguistic analysis were used.
Scientific discovery of the research is in the following:
- abundance in I.Esenberlin's historical novel "Nomads" of the ethnocultural lexicon connected with horses, reflects outlook and unique individuality of the language person of the writer;
- studying of names of horses on a material of the given product helps to recreate expressed in language "a language picture of the world";
- names of horses in product as the most ancient lexical layer in dictionary fund of the Kazakh language express national originality of people;
- names of horses represent the semantic system of language units taking the important place in dictionary fund of the Kazakh language;
- names of horses express a language image of national culture, spirit, outlook of Kazakh people;
- an analytical way is rather productive at formation of names of colours horses;
- in skill of use the author of names of horses in the art text expresses the background knowledge describing the language person of the writer.
