4.7.3 Final assembly drawing
The peculiarity of this stage in its duality: on the one hand, a final drawing 
of the final layout (a general view or an assembly drawing) is finished, the result

of the long-time work done previously is summed up; on the other hand, it’s 
not just a drawing, it’s a design that starts from the very beginning, from the 
very first line and ends with the creation of a drawing that almost completely 
provides the stage of detailing. 
Starting the final drawing of the final layout, the designer decides to refuse 
further searches, from comparison and selection of options.At the same time, 
the entire drawing technique should leave the designer with maximum freedom 
of variation throughout the course of the work. The need for current changes in 
the design being created makes it necessary to draw the drawing in two steps: 
in thin lines, followed by their stroke.
At first, it is possible to exclude design elements from the graphic work on 
the final layout drawing. If you transfer a sketch layout drawing to the sheet 
without large changes, we get a kind of «skeleton» – the basis for the drawing 
of the future design of the mechatronic module. The skeleton of the drawing is 
constructed in several projections. If the sketch layout is rendered unsuitable for 
such a construction, then this is evidence of its underdevelopment. The sequence 
of drawing the final composition of the skeleton elements in the drawing 
basically coincides with the sequence of application of the same elements in the 
sketch layout drawing.The unsuccessful selection of the sequence of drawing 
the elements of the skeleton of the final layout layout can make itself felt later 
and createconsiderable difficulties in the detailed constructive implementation 
of a particular node.
The complexity, the many-part nature, the operation of the criteria for mini-
mizing the mass-dimensions parameters, reliability criteria-all these factors 
require a strict sequence of a final drawing of the final layout.
After drawing the skeleton of the drawing, the designer gets the opportunity 
to concentrate his efforts on the specific development of individual units and 
details. At design development of units and details not only the correctness of 
assumptions accepted at the previous stages is checked, but layout errors are 
also corrected to some extent.
Detailing of assemblies and parts must be conducted from the middle part 
to the periphery in order to avoid «looseness» or excessive compression in 
radial directions. To put on the sheet elements that are uniquely determined in 
form and location in order to take advantage of the restrictions they impose, 
and also not to postpone the last stage the development of units and parts with 
undetected dimensions in order to be able to compensate for the increase in 
their dimensions in due time by compacting neighboring ones.
The reduction in the number of parts in the mechatronic module is often 
achieved due to the complication of the character of the motion of the links.
The simplest example is a planetary gearbox. At the cost of complicating the

nature of the motion of the planetary wheel, it is possible to reduce the number 
of toothedpairs (compared to a conventional gear reducer).
