4.9 Types and stages of development of construction documentation Construction document (CD) depending on its purpose alone or in
conjunction with other documents, defines the composition and construction
of the device and contains the data needed to design, manufacture, inspection,
acceptance, delivery, maintenance and repair.
Depending on the contents of design documents are divided into two types:
• audio CD – the documents containing the graphic image of the product
and (or) its component parts, the device and principle of operation, inter-
nal and external relations of functional components;
• text-CD – documents containing mostly text with solid or broken graphs.
Text of design documents in the form of illustrations contain graphic
material.
Depending on the development stage of construction documents are divided
into the project (technical proposal, preliminary design, technical design) and
work (graphic documents, part drawings, Assembly drawings and text of speci-
fication on Assembly units).
The nomenclature of engineering documents produced for a particular object
are presented in table. 4.1, and development stage of construction documents in
table. 4.2 [2].
