PILATES AS AN EFFECTIVE METHOD IN DEVELOPING FLEXIBILITY OF STUDENTS

Annotation.
This paper describes the problem that the authors solve through Action Research. In the article, the stages of
research are described. The main purpose of the research is to prove the effectiveness of the use of exercises from the Pilates
system in increasing the level of flexibility of girls in physical education. The exercises from the Pilates system are used in the
work. In the work, empirical and theoretical research methods are used to identify the level of flexibility “before” and “after”
the study. The simple mechanical methods were used to identify the level of flexibility: forward bend, forward bend from a
position, sitting legs apart, tests for a various ground of muscles. The research work is recommendatory along with other physical
exercises.
