• Negative requirements for the child, which can be degraded
or placed in a dependent position
• Inadequate, often overstated requirements
• Contradictory requirements that are imposed on the child
by parents or school
In older preschool children and younger schoolchildren, anxiety
is not yet a stable feature of the character and, when carrying out the
appropriate psychological and pedagogical correction, is relatively
reversible.
Corrective work with anxious children is advisable to carry out in
three dimensions:
• First, to increase the child's self-esteem
• Secondly, to teach the child how to relieve muscle and
emotional stress
• Thirdly, to handle the skills of owning oneself in situations that
hurt the child
Work in all three areas can be conducted, either in parallel, or
depending on the priority chosen by adults, gradually and consistently.
