N. Atygayev: Kazakh khanate: definition of sources as a reflection
of the history of the country.
For the first time in the historiography as a scientific problem raises
the following question: was the Kazakh Khanate perceived like a state
by contemporaries? To answer this question the author applies the
historical terminology. The research is based on the Russian archival
documents and the eastern narrative works which the author found
in the collections of the library’s of the Islamic Republic of Iran. At
the end of the article the author comes to the following conclusion:
the study is used in the terminology of the sources shows that the
Kazakh Khanate was perceived by contemporaries as a sovereign
state and its rulers are equal in rank to other rulers.
