SWOT analysis
is a method of strategic planning, which consists in
identifying factors
of the internal and external environment of the organization and dividing them into four
categories:
•
Strengths,
• Weaknesses (weaknesses),
• Opportunities,
• Threats.
Summing up, we can say that the structure of argumentative discourse depends on the
communicative situation. However, four main elements can be identified:
introduction,
exposition, argumentation and conclusion.
First of all, a general presentation of the topic discussed in the introduction is made. Its
purpose is to introduce the audience or recipient to the context.
The second element is an exhibition in which a thesis, vision or defense is presented. As a
rule, these are one or two sentences that establish a position on a particular topic. Then, the
argument is given, that is, the reasons for supporting the thesis.
In the case of an inductive
structure, the order is changed: first the proof, then the thesis. Finally, the conclusions or results
of the arguments are presented. The purpose of these conclusions is to strengthen the thesis.
Some argumentative words end with a call to act in a certain way.
