ments, in 2014 entered State register of protected breeding achievements permitted
for use in North-Caucasian region.
Breeding method.
Bred with a method of individual selection from hybrid com-
bination Emerald/VNIIR 10016/Snezhinka.
Belongs to medium ripening group. Duration 100–105 days.

Glumes are awnless, straw yellow color, pubescent. Plant height 8 85 cm. Stalk is thin,
flexible, non-lodging. Leaves are green, narrow, long with curved leaf blade. Panicle
length 17–21 cm, drooping, medium patulent, with spikelet density 5.5–6.0 pcs./cm.
Total number of spikelets per panicle — 90–120 pcs., spikelet sterility 9–11 %, pro-
ductive tillering 2.5–4.0.
Grain and milled rice quality, cooking properties. Slender, long caryopsis. Length-
to-beam ratio (
l/b
) — 3.2–3.4. Filminess — 18.4–19.2 %, grain hardness — 96–99 %.
Milling yield 65–67 %, head rice content — 80–85 %.
