Many of the most significant theoretical and practical achievements of organic chemistry in
recent years are the result of the rapid development of one of its branches – the chemistry of
organophosphorus compounds. Great achievements of organophosphate chemistry in the production
of highly effective pesticides, medicines, plasticizers, chelators, and a number of other specialty
materials, without which advances in agriculture, medicine and modern technology are impossible.
The aim of this work is the synthesis of complex of cyclohexanone oxyphosphonate with zinc
actetate (II), and further investigating it’s biological activity.
It assumes that activity of oxyphosphonates can be increased by using them as complexes
with microelements, and in addition can solve problem with metal ion deficit in organism.
One of the most important macro and trace elements for the proper functioning of the human
body is zinc. But today, more than 2 billion people are zinc deficient, leading to stunted growth,
cognitive impairment and immune deficiency. The only stable form is the Zn
2+
ion, which enters the
human body with water and food. Zn
2+
ions inhibit coronavirus RNA polymerase and inhibit virus
replication in cell cultures.
Synthesis of coordination compound was held under ultrasonic stimulation. Initial
oxyphosphonate and acetate of zinc in 2:1 ratio were mixed in ultrasound bath at room temperature
for 30 minutes. Then, about 5 ml ethanol was added as reaction medium and stirred until full
dissolution. Closed reaction mixture was left for night to observe form of sedimentation and then
transported to Petrie dish for evaporation. White crystalline precipitation was formed and collected

with respect to the IR spectrum of the starting
oxyphosphonate and indicates the formation of a complex.
Before, study on the myelostimulating effect of its analogue of complex with manganese (II)
acetate was investigated, in which the oxyphosphonate showed moderate activity and the complex
high activity. Based on these results, it can be assumed that obtained oxyphosphonate in complex
with zinc acetate may have similar biological activity. Synthesized complex was sent to al-Farabi
biological faculty for investigation myelostimulating activity.
