Annotation:
The term “cognitive linguistics” was not mentioned directly in the writings of the ancient world
philosophers, but the process of knowledge in some cases, in the works and studies of philosophers, is observed.
Generally, the main purpose of the study of ancient philosophers was the knowledge of the connection between
language and cognition, cognition and reason. The language is the meaning of knowledge, with the help of it a
person knows the world, culture. Also, language is a cognition of culture, it forms a person as a person,
determines his actions, worldview, character, mentality, ideology.
