Task I. Read and translate the text:
John’s working Day
John gets up at half past seven in the morning. He has breakfast at eight o’clock. He has tea and toast and strawberry jam very much. Then he goes to school. He usually goes by bus, but sometimes his father drives him to school in the family car. He has lunch at school and goes home at 3.00 in the afternoon. He gets home from school at half past three. His mother cooks dinner for the family.
After dinner John rests a little, and then he does his homework. Then he helps his mother about the house. He usually phones Richard. Sometimes John goes to Richard’s house and sometimes Richard comes to John’s. They usually listen to records.
They like pop music but sometimes they listen to classical music, too. If the weather is nice, they go out and ride their bikes with their friends.
In the evening he goes to the club to play chess with his friends. He is also fond of tennis and basketball. When he comes back home he has supper with his parents in the dining-room, watches TV if there is any interesting programme or a good film.
English schools usually have a lot of clubs. John belongs to the art club and the camera club. Richard goes to the art club, too. He also belongs to the science club and the music club.
He goes to bed at half past nine, but he reads a little in bed, too. His mother says him “Good night” and gives him a kiss every night.
