| Сұраулы сөйлем: Қазақ тілінде сұраулы сөйлемдер ма, ме, ба, бе, па, пе тіркесуі арқылы болса, ағылшын тілінде көмекші етістіктер арқылы болады. Do/does деген көмекші етістіктер арқылы жасалады: Do I work? Does she work?
Болымсыз сөйлем: Do/does деген көмекші етістікке not көмекші сөзі жалғанады: I don’t work. She doesn’t work.
Қолданылуы: 1. Әдеттегі, қайталанатын іс-әрекетте: They go to the country every weekend. 2. Жалпыға белгілі ақиқат: The Neva flows into the Baltic Sea. 3. Жалпы істелетін: I read a book. 4. Іс-қимыл етістіктері come, go leave, starts, arrive – пен болатын іс-әрекетті көрсетсе: The train starts in half an hour. 5. Созылыңқы осы шақта қолданылмайтын етістіктер: I see George at the window. Орфография емлесі: Егер етістіктің соңғы дыбысты ұяң дауыссыз d дауыссызға аяқталсы «s» жалғауы қосылғанда [z] болып оқылады. Мысалы: reads [ridz]. Егер соңғы дыбыс қатаң дауыссыз дыбыс болса, «s» жалғауы [s] болып оқылады. Мысалы: writes [raits[. Ал -ss, -ch, -x әріптерінен кейін «es» қосылып, [iz] болып оқылады. Мысалы: teaches [ti:tSiz]. Етістік «у» әрпіне аяқталып ,оның алдындағы әріп дауыссыз болса, онда «y» әрпі «і» әрпіне айналып es қосылады: to study [studies]. Егер ертістіктегі «у» әрпінің алдындағы әріп дауысты болса, онда «s» әрпі тікелей қосылады: says.
