UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC): CHI works closely with the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. In partnership with helplines, CHI contributes to the country reviews carried out by the Committee. The UN CRC is dedicated to the recommendation of child helplines to all governments of countries under review.
The Global Study on Violence against Children: CHI is contributing the data from all its member helplines to this global study. This unique data will provide the study with an overview of the concerns and issues children are facing around the world.
The European Union: In 2005, CHI met with MEP Lissy Gróner, who is working with CHI to facilitate the protection of children through child helplines as a strategy. The first step will be taken in September 2005 with the presentation of a Written Declaration in the European Parliament to recognise and financially support child helplines in the EU and in greater Europe.
The Telecom sector: CHI has been working towards impacting the telecom sector. Advances have been made in partnering with the International Telecom Union (ITU) and children have for the first time been included in the Declaration of Principles.
