Task 1.

 

Translate the sentences into Russian and learn the 

expressions in italics.

Translate the phrases in brackets.

failure. 

5. We lost the road in the wood, and, to make things worse, it started 

raining hard.

never been very close. 

8. You lied to me, or, to be more precise, you didn’t tell me the whole 

truth.
