Annotation.
The level of modern training loads in swimming demands extremely high requirements on the physical fitness
of athletes. In this regard, the
training system of swimmers includes special physical training, which includes swimming
facilities, complexes of special exercises aimed at developing the necessary qualities of the swimmer, primarily power. The
high correlation of sports results with indicators of strength even allowed some experts to call this physical quality “a
fundamental factor in swimming” [1,2].
One of these scientists is Professor V.N. Seluyanov. In his opinion, all manifestations of power capabilities, including
swimming, depending on the development of the muscle components of the so-called organelle.
The manifestation of strength,
endurance, speed depends only on the level of development of myofibrils and mitochondria in the muscle cell. In this regard, it
is proposed to direct training on the development of the above-mentioned qualities specifically on the development of these
muscle organelle.
In his opinion, one of the most effective approaches to such training is the use of statodynamic exercises to
develop strength.
