resolved by the family itself if the size of state child and family benefi ts 

were  increased,  a  program  of  state  support  for  large  families  was 

developed  and  implemented  in  order  to  improve  housing  conditions, 

develop  family  entrepreneurship,  increase  the  level  of  education  of 

parents, the provision of free education and medical care to children from 

large families. The role of state social policy in increasing cash incomes 

and increasing wages is important for improving fi nancial situation and 

social well-being of large families. Changing the “survival strategy” of 

a large family to a “development strategy” will be helped by a reform of 

wages, an increase in the living wage, assistance in the employment of 

parents, and an intensifi cation of the employment policy of both parents 

in a large family. In the context of the demographic crisis, the status of 

a large family needs social recognition of society, moral support and 

encouragement.
