Abstract:Fairy tales are the source of folk treasures. It is one of the folklore heritage that extends the thoughts of the
child, contributes to psychological development and development of imagination and thought. Working with fairy tales
promotes independent understanding of the text, expressive reading of works and their parts. Students are aware of the
author's position, understand the tasks of learning as a result of a personal approach to events and characters, as well as
understanding the imaginative and emotional content of the text. The main purpose of fairy tales in child upbringing is
to teach fairy tales in schools that do not teach Kazakh.
