264 6.3.2 Technological and coordinate measuring mechatronic machine company «LAPIK» As an example of the Russian technological machine-hexapod is a precision
piece of equipment offered by JSC ’LAPIK» (Saratov). The company produces
in a single structural basis of hexapods of two types: coordinate measuring
machines (CMMs) modules and technology modules (TM) for machining.
The combination of features of the machining center and CMM gives the
possibility to:
• precisely to «coordinate» new areas to the already finished surfaces;
• adjust the motion path of the tool taking into account the deformation
of the workpiece (this is especially important when handling long items
high precision);
• to approve and, if necessary, to Refine the product on one workstation.
Technological modules are intended for processing shaped products with
high precision by methods of milling, grinding, drilling, polishing, as well as to
perform operations of engraving, boring, layout. The working area of hexapods
varies from different models in the range: X axis – 500...3000 mm, Y axis –
400...1400 mm, Z axis – 350...750 mm. Maximum turning angle of the moving
platform with respect to each of the axes is 45...60°, the speed of its motion is
specified programmatically in the range of 0.01...160 mm/s.
The production machines are equipped with mechatronic modules, such as
«motor spindle» power from 1.5 to 7.5 kW with variable speed in the range
400...24000 rpm.
CMM perform automatic measurement and control of dimensions of parts
(including the easily deformable parts) of the design or technological bases.
The accuracy of volumetric measurement for CMM-500 (the machine of
standard version) is not greater than 3.8 µm for the measured size – L = 300
mm. In precision machinery a special performance this indicator reaches the
value of 1.1 µm. Measurements are performed using a special head-probe,
equipped with mechanical sensors or current touch. Contact force when the
touch current does not exceed 0,0003 N that allows you to measure pliant and
fine-grained details. The positioning error of the working body of technological
machines of the type TM is 5.0 µm (movement distance 300 mm).
