formation of idiomatic units as well as different categories of idioms in English.
From our research we conclude that idioms today have their own areas of study and
research methods, so that language plays the role of an independent science alongside
vocabulary and рstyle. Phraseology studies the methods, forms and forms of creating a
phraseology unit, activities in their language The connection with other aspects of the
phraseological unit (explanatory, stylistic, linguistic history, etc.) and the clarification of the
classification of idioms in modern English are of great interest to linguists. The criteriafor the
phraseological units, their limits, the semantic and structural features of the modern English
language and the origin of the idioms have been studied in various ways.
