technologies, Babbel is able to recognise language and correct pronunciation by matching the
words spoken by the course participant with language examples in the database recorded by course
editors who are native speakers of the language in question.There are currently several quite
effective online resources for editing texts in a foreign language using AI technologies. One of
these resources is Grammarly, which corrects over 150 types of errors, e.g. errors in grammar,
spelling, punctuation, writing style and sentence structure. If there are errors, Grammarly provides
recommendations for correction and offers several options. Working with this service allows
students to analyse their texts and thus develop their critical thinking skills, which can be useful
to them in the future when writing coursework, master's theses, academic articles, notes and other
written work.QuillBot's AI is an AI-powered paraphrasing tool that helps students edit their text
and change the tone of voice to improve clarity and comprehension.
Chatbots on the Telegram channel, which are a mobile learning tool, can also help you
master a foreign language. These are bots like @multitran_bot, @AndyRobot, @eddy_en_bot,
@EnglishSimpleBot. The chatbot @multitran_bot offers the possibility to work automatically
with online dictionaries. The bot offers all possible translation options and meanings and
duplicates the main functionality of Multitran (an internet system of bilingual dictionaries).
@AndyRobot focuses on practising spoken English. Therefore, the bot asks the student to choose
one of the everyday topics (weather, hobbies, work, etc.).The virtual teacher offers you the
opportunity to take daily grammar lessons with explanations and a test to master the material.
@eddy_en_bot helps you to learn new vocabulary; with the free version you can learn five words
a day. With @EnglishSimpleBot you can read English texts and mark unknown words for further
study in a special mode, take tests on specific topics and improve your grammar skills. There are
also reference books on grammar and language levels, including Upper-Intermediate.The Bots can
“communicate” with a student on a specific topic at a specific time interval and perform a
knowledge check during a time period set by the teacher, collect statistics on mastery of the
material, and automatically inform the teacher of student progress.With GPT Chat, students can
receive additional practise and support outside the classroom, improve their reading, writing and
language skills, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication style. In the classroom,
the main organiser of the educational process, as P.V. Sysoev and E.M. Filatov correctly note,
there should still remain a teacher who acts as an “assistant and expert in the field of a foreign
language, who helps and creates conditions for learning, education and development” [7].In
addition to programmes that can be used for foreign language teaching, there are also tools -
teaching assistants based on AI. The website Twee is one of these assistants. This platform has
been specially developed to facilitate the preparation of tasks on various aspects of a foreign
language (vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, speaking, writing). With its help, you can
create texts and questions (open, with choice of correct answer, true/false).In addition, the platform
generates lexical and grammatical exercises for filling in gaps, matching words to definitions,
opening brackets, putting words in the right order, etc. Twee transcribes videos, formulates
questions about these videos, finds interesting facts and quotes from famous people on a chosen
topic, creates discussion questions, lists of pros and cons, lists of essay topics, etc. However, the
tasks generated by the platform must be checked carefully. Not all of them are ready for use
without appropriate corrections. Nevertheless, this system helps to significantly reduce the
teacher’s preparation time for the lesson and also stimulates the creative process as it offers a wide
range of ideas and tasks.

language teaching.
