III stage.
The most common is the technique of L. M.
Urubkova, which is a certain sequence of teaching normative
expressive reading of the text aloud:
1. Intonation markup of the text. The teacher offers to view the
text, listen to it and mark up the text, i.e. put the icons: ` (phrasal
stress), (pauses, division into syntagmas), ÌÊ (rising, descending tone
of the utterance).
2. Collective reading aloud is a technique of acoustic
visualization, its goal is the development of conscious imitation
based on marked up text.
3. Pair reversed reading is the next stage of work, which is
necessary for developing the ability to better understand the content
and transfer it to another person.
4. Individual whisper reading to strengthen articulation skills.
5. Individual control reading aloud. The purpose of the last
stage is to complete the work and control the result.
The described modes of operation form a procedural reading
plan (reading technique) through repeated reading, but with different
tasks. Such detailed work is carried out not with all texts, but with
those that allow drawing the student's attention to normative
expressive reading.
At the initial stage of learning to read, it is necessary to
develop reading to oneself, reading with an emphasis on
understanding. Teaching reading as an indirect form of
communication in a foreign language involves the formation of the
ability to read texts with different levels of understanding of the
information contained in them: the main content of the text; complete
and accurate understanding of all information; extraction of

necessary, meaningful information
The most significant principles of teaching reading from our
point of view are the following:
1. Training based on the selection of texts.
2. Differentiation of learning depending on the types of
reading.
3. Reliance on knowledge, abilities, skills in the native
language.
4. Gradual learning to read.
Proceeding from the internal structure of reading (motivational
incentive, analytical-synthetic, control-executive), reading activity is
a three-stage process, consisting of three phases (pre-reading, while-
reading, after reading) [2].
By Folomkina types of reading are based on the practical
needs of readers. According to the degree (depth) of penetration into
the content of the text one can distinguish studying and introductory
reading. According to the speed of reading, since the following types
relate to quick reading (speed is the most important characteristic) –
search and viewing [3, 5-12].
