Conclusion.
Thus, the essence of reading as a type of communicative 
activity is to extract the information contained in the text to the 
required extent. Mechanisms of reading are carried out on the basis 
of language material learned in stages: first, reading words is 
mastered, then reading structures with their gradual expansion 
followed by a combination of structures of different types and
finally, reading small texts with a gradual increase in their volume 
and complication of content. Properly organized reading results in 
the formation of linguistic consciousness of learners, the 
accumulation of necessary vocabulary and the improvement of skills 
and abilities for expressing thoughts orally and in writing.
