| Lesson’s vocabulary: coefficient, constant, pronumerals, binomial, polynomial, variable, algebraic term, algebraic expression, power, squared, cubed, index (indices), evaluate, expand, factorize, like terms, unlike terms, collect like terms, grouping symbols, parentheses, brackets, braces.
Тема № 2. Геометрия. Geometry (10ч) Content: circle, adjacent angles, angles at a point, angles on a line, quadrilaterals, area of polygons, three-dimensional shapes. Students will be able to: • Use formulae in calculating perimeter and area of circles • Identify and name angles formed by the intersection of straight lines, including those related to transversals on sets of parallel lines, and make use of the relationships between them. • Classify, construct, and determine the properties of triangles and quadrilaterals.• Calculate the surface area of rectangular and triangular prisms and volume of right prisms and cylinders. Statistics (6 ч) Students will be able to: • Construct, read and interpret graphs, tables, charts and statistical information. • Collect statistical data using either a census or a sample, and analyze data using measures of location and range. Students will be able to answer the questions: How can we construct a frequency histogram and polygon? How can the form of data representation change interpretation?
