language is closely connected and bound to its agglutinativity.
The newly created Kyrgyz Corpus is one of the first attempts to build a large scale,
general purpose corpus
to serve a wide range of users, who are specialized and interested
in linguistic research. It is planned to continue studies on the corpus, expand it and
diversify with different genres, registers, etc. The present corpus will serve as a basis for
developing corpora for translation quality assessment. As it is
the first Corpus built in
Kyrgyz, we believe creating an open access Kyrgyz corpus will significantly contribute
to further development of the Kyrgyz linguistics.
