• 
  үлгілік оқу бағдарламасына сәйкес (оқу жүктемесі төмендетілген) жалпы орта білім беру деңгейінің 11-сыныбын аяқтаған білім алушылар ағылшын тілін В2 тілдік деңгейінде меңгеріп шығады деп көзделеді;
  
• 
  оқу жүктемесінің төмендетілуі бағдарламаның әрбір бөлімі (Strand) бойынша оқу мақсаттары санының қысқартылуы есебінен жүзеге асырылады.

10-сынып білім алушылары:

  еркін тақырыпта әңгімелесудің негізгі мазмұнын, ұзақ әңгімелесу барысындағы нақты ақпаратты және айтылған дәлелдерді егжей-тегжейлі түсінеді;
  
• 
  сөйлеудің формальды және формальды емес стилдерін қолданады, өзінің және өзгелердің көзқарасын түсіндіреді және негіздейді, басқа адамдардың пікірін бағалайды және түсіндіреді;
  
• 
  көлемді мәтіндердің негізгі идеясын түсінеді, түрлі стильдер және жанрларда жазылған көлемді мәтіндердегі арнайы ақпаратты және егжей-тегжейлі ақпаратты таниды. Мәтіннің мазмұнын анықтау мақсатында көлемді мәтіндерді қарап оқи алады (scanning, skimming). Таныс және бейтаныс тақырыптарға, сондай-ақ оқу бағдарламасындағы тақырыптарға жазылған әртүрлі көркем және ғылыми әдебиеттердің мәтіндерін оқиды;

  тиісті формальдылыққа жету үшін сөйлеу стилін қолдана отырып, грамматикалық қатесіз жазады. Қисынды дәлелдерді және қажет болған жағдайда мысалдар мен себептерді келтіру арқылы тұжырымдайды.
